Shannon Webb-Campbell is a Mi’kmaq poet, writer, and critic based in Montreal. Her first book, Still No Word (2015) was the inaugural recipient of Egale Canada’s Out In Print Award. She was Canadian Women In the Literary Arts Critic-in-Residence in 2014 and defended Bearskin Diary by Carol Daniels for CBC Radio’s Turtle Island Reads in 2017. She currently sits on CWILA’s Board of Directors.
Hoda Adra would have liked to be a carrier pigeon, but circumstances were such that words were what carried her away. Born in Lebanon, raised in Saudi Arabia and adopted by Montreal, this triangle inspires her first spoken word album "La liberté des sens", a rhythmical account of an Arab female body crossing worlds way too fast (with music by Tyler Fitzmaurice and Greg Debicki). Hoda currently represents the Montreal francophone slam team and is Quebec's Grand Slam silver medallist. She is also a proud alumna of the Banff Centre's Spoken Word Program. Listen to her album here:
John "Triangles" Stuart is quite simply a guitar player.
The Words & Music Show is Canada's longest running literature and music show. Launched in 2000, it features poets, musicians. writers and performers from Montreal, across Canada and internationally. It is sponsored by the Quebec Writers' Federation, CKUT 90.3FM, the Casa del Popolo and Wired on Words.
