BB Deadlifts

I program the BB Deadlift when I want the client to build strength and power.

During the BB Deadlift the client is focused a lot on the concentric phase of the movement. The clients goal is to produce as much force as they can.

Romanian Deadlifts

The RDL is used a an assessory exercise for the BB Deadlift , as a regression to the BB Deadlift, or as a way to build more tension through posterior chain.

The RDL is less aimed at producing force and more at controlling the load and building tensions.

Both variation work the posterior chain, but both are used for different purposes in the program.
