Here are some ways to stop cravings.
1.🍭Don’t skip meals, if you skip meals you will tend to be hungrier and eat more than usual.
2.🍭Keep it to 4-5 meals a day. When you eat carbohydrates try to eat whole wheat, it makes you feel satiated longer and reduces the chance of cravings in between foods.
3.🍭Have a drink of water, sometimes we confuse being hungry with being thirsty, drink some water and see if the craving goes away. Another way to make us feel like we have eaten something is by drinking herbal tea, or adding some cucumber, lemon and ginger to our water.
4. 🍭Try exercising or going on a walk to release stress and forget about your craving.
5.🍭In case of not being able to control your craving, have healthy snacks like fruit, nuts (walnuts, peanuts, pistachios, almonds, etc.) a small portion that fits in the palm of our hand, veggies (celery, carrots, broccoli, etc.), non-fat yogurt, seeds.
6.🍭Get enough sleep. Sleep deprivation messes with fluctuations making people have poor appetite regulation and strong cravings. Studies show that people who get poor sleep tend to have a higher risk of becoming obese.
7.🍭Last but not least, if you often have cravings, see why and when you are feeling this way. Psychological disorders like depression and anxiety have a strong relation with food cravings. Seeking psychological aid can help us fight this problem in another way.
