This rural tourism is an initiative by BAIF and SBI Youth For India to create livelihood opportunities and exchange of cultures.
BAIF Institute for Sustainable Livelihood and Development aims to create opportunities for gainful self employment for rural families, especially disadvantaged sections, ensuring sustainable livelihood.
SBI Youth for India is an Indian rural fellowship programme. It provides a framework for India's bright young minds to join hands with rural communities, empathise with their struggles and connect with their aspirations.

Day 1: Get into 6:15 am bus from Thane or drive down to Jawahar ( 130 km approx from Mumbai). Reach Jawhar by 9:30 am. Our vehicle will be ready to take you to Ramnagar. There will be a welcome ceremony at the destination Along with traditional breakfast. This would be followed by a walk around the village and escorting the guests to their respective homestay ( 2 people per house). The day has in store a Warli painting workshop, traditional lunch, visit pinpurna dam, tribal music and dance session concluded by a hearty traditional dinner. ( You can interact with the women and learn how to cook traditional preparations)
Day 2: The day starts with a walk in the forest with the local medicine man (vaidu) followed by traditional breakfast. The day proceeds with a visit to farm, exhibition of indigenous crops, local market , tribal dance session and cuisine.
