A GLIMPSE OF THE RECENTLY COMPLETED ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT
From imagination to reality
Project name - Cafe Ambrosia
Location. - Gwalior
Project type. - Renovation cum designing
Sitting capacity - 60 people
Materials. - mud bricks, bamboo, raw thatch
Est. Cost. - 9.6 Lakh INR
Duration. - 40 days
Team. - YASH AGRAWAL SOUMIL SENAPATI UTKARSH HARSH VARDHAN AURABINDO GHOSH .
The challenge behind the project was to renovate and develop a 6000sqft of land into a cafe cum family restaurant
With a minimum budget of 6 Lak rupees in a limited time period of 28 days.
With a team of 5 architecture students the challenge was accepted and the concept of vernacular design was put forward which was approved by the clients in the first proposal.
Now the challenge was to deal with the local labourers as they were not skilled enough for the purpose of exposed brick work construction, after consulting with some of our faculties the work was executed by the team itself and later on proper skill was provided to the unskilled labours which helped them to work effectively and earn an extra wage.
As the restraunt was taking its shape the work of graffiti was executed by AURABINDO GHOSH and his team providing a platform to the junior batches to work on a real time project in the first and second year itself.
The project was successfully completed and innaugrated on 17th February 2019 with a welcome party for the batchmates and junior students.
I humbly thank everyone for their warm wishes and supporting during the process.
