I used to struggle with this, but after spending almost 3 months overseas last year, I’m sharing what I learned for staying grounded, cozy, minimally stressed + happy and healthy while traveling.⁣⁣⁣⁣

🌞 Pack food from home if you have strict food intolerances. Bringing along some of your own travel-friendly snacks such as nuts or seed mixes, GF crackers, leftover organic sausages, homemade bliss balls or jelly etc. can make the trip less stressful, less expensive and easier on your tummy. And you won’t have to eat shitty airplane food either!⁣⁣⁣⁣

🌞 Drink water, more water, and then drink water again. Filtered of course. I always take a water bottle with an in-built filter so I can avoid the chemicals and parasites that may be lurking in the water.⁣⁣⁣⁣

🌞 Creature comforts: I always travel with herbal tea, dehydrated bone broth, earplugs for sleeping, digestion-boosting essential oils, magnesium, coconut charcoal and probiotics. Pick your comforts and take them along so you can continue to nourish yourself and feel grounded.⁣⁣⁣⁣

So this was our new taster today for our Easter eggs 🤤 Choc Mint 💕 We prefer this one over our peppermint cream as the chocolate is rich with a hint of peppermint and much yummier in our opinion. We’ve used some @doterraaunz Peppermint Oil to flavour and it is divine. We’re almost ready to take bookings but we’re working on one or even 2 more flavours over the next 2 days so that we can have a couple of different packs available ready in time for Easter.

My primary focus is to help people learn what a properly prepared, nutrient-dense whole foods diet is and share components of it that could help them meet their health goals. It not just food ya'all, it's the NUTRIENTS in the food (or lack thereof) that throws off our bodies (physically and mentally). I am not about telling anyone what they are doing now is bad, wrong or that they have to change right now or else shiz is going to hit the fan 🙅 good.better.best - information is powerful. Some people are all in because they are sick and tired of being sick and tired, others only want information and aren't ready to change anything.

Keto Cilantro Lime Shrimp

An easy shrimp recipe that’s packed with flavor and ready in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon lime juice
¼ cup chopped cilantro leaves
.
Place the olive oil in a large pan over medium high heat. Add the shrimp and season them with salt, pepper and the chili powder.
Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes or until just pink.
Stir in the garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
Stir in the lime juice and cilantro, then serve.

There r times i feel like im drowning and the best i can do is drag my arse out of bed and get my head in the game. Yesterday my HOD said something that hit home in a big way. "U give your all to this place. All u r is here". She is so right and even at times wen it felt my world was falling apart around me i did. No one knew wot was truly happening. My students didnt know my personal struggles and my colleagues didnt either (except for my HOD and bestie office mate). Life is like that...u either fight back or lie down and die inside. So wen u fall and wen u go thru your dark hours - find your faith and keep going. Faith is more than belief in a higher majestic power. Faith is belief or trust in something or someone...that faith can b in YOU in YOUR OWN abilities. U r so much stronger than u know 😁

So i been grinding and this morning as im finishing my workout Abdul-Jabbar comes in and says "I want to exercise please" Aspire to Inspire at its best. Change begins in your home. No force and no negativity. Show them wot u love and they will love it. Someone asked me where Hill Street is the other day, its a fair question - there is a Hill Street in almost every town that has a bit of elevation (turns out they weren’t that creative when coming up with street names back in the day). The Hill Street that inspired this particular brand is based in little old Richmond, Nelson where I grew up. In fact, 3 generations of my family have grown up there which is pretty cool.
Sitting out front with a wine in hand is where I first had the idea for a range of wholefood baking mixes, so when it came to a name it seemed only fitting that I use the place I associate with all sorts of delicious home baking (thanks for the sweet tooth mum). Start the day with a Simple Green Smoothie that tastes super good and is easy to make—includes accessible ingredients, and is sweet enough to help kids enjoy every sip.

The key to a good green smoothie for kids is balancing the flavours, so in addition to greens, you need some fruit for sweetness and creaminess.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup milk
1 banana, sliced and frozen
½ cup frozen pineapple and strawberries
1 cup spinach leaves mildly blanched
Place all ingredients into blender and blend on high for 1 minute or until all the ingredients are combined and smooth. Serve immediately.
P.S. Bananas do give a natural sweetness and Kyra isn't really a 'sweets' kid. So it's just apt for us. But incase u need, u may add a sweetener of choice.

Papaya have many health benefits:
